About to install Ubuntu on the netbook.

Windows users drive like this, but Mac users are like THIS.

Then the Linux user rides in on a unicycle, only he's covered in faeces and bile and he's like "I want to install this piece of software, better open a bash prompt and enter an entire paragraph of moonspeak in order to compile the source and do something every other OS is capable of doing in three to four clicks".

I tried Red Hat Linux about seven or eight years ago and it really was like that. It didn't recognise half of my hardware, gave me a lolwut face whenever I tried to install modem drivers and was seemingly incapable of reading a bog standard FAT32 partition. Utter, utter piece of shit.

Also, Ubuntu is apparently refusing to play ball with the brightness controls on my netbook. THE MORE THINGS CHANGE...

Ubuntu worked perfectly with my desktop, it was more compatible with all of my hardware than Xp was.

When it comes down to OSsss OSX is the worst in my opinion.

Yeah, Ubuntu seems pretty good other than this brightness bug. I'm honestly shocked it recognises the WLAN chip in this netbook.

I love OS X, it works perfectly for me. Stable as hell and after nearly a year my Mac runs just as well as the day I got it. In comparison my Windows 7 machine has noticeably slowed down and I've barely used it for months.
