For anyone who cares: the demo of Dragon Age 2 came out today. I played through it today and it's... okay, I guess. But it didn't really blow me away and felt somewhat dumbed down compared to DA:O.
The combat feels more fast paced and the gore even more over-the-top. Expect insane amounts of dismemberment, you can pretty much slice people up into tiny pieces like it was an anime. If you think I'm exaggerating, take a look at this screenshot I took while playing. I'm not making this shit up.People can decide for themselves whether this is a good or a bad thing. I personally didn't mind it too much.
Also, the game occasionally stopping mid-cutscene with a "Loading..." message is pretty annoying.
tl;dr, it wasn't terrible, but I was expecting more. Then again, it's just a demo, so a final judgement would be way too early right now.
