Anyway, I'm worried about how this thing will affect me. A security breach of this magnitude will also hit legitimate PS3-users, who don't want to use hacks or illegal games, but who just want to play their games with a minimum of hassle. And with something like this, more stringent security on a game-by-game basis is a likely result. I just hope the producers and Sony manage to keep more or less a cool head about this, but I can't really see how.
Of course, games have been broken well before this, but I'm not sure if it's through hacking or bug exploiting. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time was a fantastic example there. The Leaderboards (before they were changed) were completely broken. "Fastest Playthrough. Top of the list: 00:00:15" - yeah, I'm sure he's fantastically skilled to finish the game in 15 seconds![]()
