I remember a couple of months ago people were going crazy about SF4 being downloaded like 2 million times, and how pirates ruined it for Capcom. I bet many of those people actually bought the game afterwards, because you can't really play online with a pirated copy. And offline is fun for like 10 minutes before it gets old.![]()
Synthetik also acknowledges my ridiculous jokes.
Anyway serious post, with regard to steam games, I love having the option of buying games so readily but having steam locked games can be a pain having to wait for two programs to launch (Steam + the game) to play one game.
I would agree for the most part. Although for some of the newer games with the ridiculous DRM in place I would imagine it would be the other way around.
I like buying my games new, although it's hard to justify purchasing new games until the price drops a little bit. Shit gets expensive. It's just a fact of life though, people are always gonna be selling used games.
Also, who is J0^3 on steam?
You win a years supply of free pancakes.
I would do the same, but my limbic system is still fucked up from watching Aeris die.
That's good. Reading about the whole AC 2 fiasco made me laugh. There has to be a certain amount of trust between developers and the customers, considering that DRM will get cracked anyways. It's usually only a matter of time. If people like the game they will buy it, and people that always pirate everything probably aren't going to change anytime soon...
