    It's been done

First time, the tip is all slippery, you want me to put this in that hole of yours. Etc etc.

I actually already learned the Japanese word for 'rape' from a file earlier. But that was in a joke context. Yes, the game has rape jokes. Classy.
I don't believe there is. And probably.

Wouldn't surprise me. The writer is a fucking deviant. I've read his work. I was thoroughly "wait, you mean this guy was later responsible for diabetes in text form?"

Not that I know of. But the closest storyline to this written previously had the main character letting his friends gangrape the childhood friend character while he laughed maniacally. This was after a lengthy period of him being incredibly abusive. The PTSD she shows immediately after the incident was unsettling. And it had a happy ending. WHAT THE FUCK AM I READING.

Probably the best idea, really. Not all that important anyway unless you're searching for a specific chunk of text.

You've probably spent less hours than me, but you have something more substantial to show for it, so naturally I feel inadequate. Also, hacking is strange and mysterious to me. Translation might be difficult, but it's not hard to understand that you're basically taking stuff in one language...and putting it into another.

Okie dokie, that doesn't sound so bad. Just popped into my head today, so I figured I'd ask. And yeah, I just googled the opening to refresh my memory and noticed the white backgrounds. Pretty sure even I could handle that.

Lazy, or efficient? Or efficient because of laziness?

Oh, and considering Google tells me that the last guys to try got a C&D, we probably ought to just shut up about it. Also, the less people we attract, the less embarrassment we risk if it all implodes horribly. Let's pretend it's still a joke. Which won't be too hard considering it sort of still is.
If it turns out the person doing the hiring is a fan, you're probably guaranteed a job!

And that's what CTRL+F is for!

It's actually really simple. I could probably explain the whole process to you in a relatively short wall o' text. The general idea is: Break big file of text into several pairs of 2 chunks: formatting and script. Change script/have script changed. Turn 2 chunks into 1 chunk. Run game. And once I get the game displaying your text, you'll have plenty to show for your efforts.
(also, all of KEY's games, as well as the games of a few other companies use the same engine. KANON, CLANNAD, Tomoyo and Little Busters all use it. And all of those are either translated or being translated. A few of them are open projects with the design docs and such readily available to anyone that wants to take a crack at something similar. I had plenty of resources to go to. )

Yeah, that. Even I can MSPaint it up.

I know of those guys. I SINCERELY DOUBT there was a C&D. Especially since there's an ongoing TL project for not one, but TWO of KEY's more recent games ongoing that are easier to find, running on a site that japanese companies are well aware of, and they've not heard so much as a peep. One even released a patch a couple weeks ago for LB and LBE. And people are planning to tackle ReWrite soon. The people who tried previously pn Air were complete space cases and extreme amateurs. The majority of the translation was babelfished or done by someone who was neither a native english nor a native japanese speaker. Obviously there was a metric shitton of work to be done and the people involved were unreliable. Their only contribution to translations was a repackaging of someone else's work. Which was unstable as fuck. Also, a fake C&D is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

I already have a test package ready to go with all that one would need (torrent of the game, the altered files to get it to run the script, the script itself). I just need to toss in.overwrite some translated files and it's good to go. If you really intend to look into whether or not it runs right for you, I can send a PM your way once I get Ed's first update.

What time are you heading out on your trip again, Ray? Because it's seeming that it shan't arrive until tomorrow at the earliest

    Tomorrow morning, 8 am.

But it's a short trip to the nearest city for various reasons. No big deal.

The long trip is still to occur at a, thus far, indeterminate time.

Ok. It's UPS, so it could still show, but I figure it's pretty doubtful at this point.

How long after the "Estimated Arrival Date" do Amazon things normally show?

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds, eh?

False advertising up in this bitch. IT'S THE SECOND FUCKING WORD, HOW DO YOU POSSIBLY ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN?

I have no idea. I don't shop online.

It is, but I like to imaging it's a blanket statement covering all forms of mail service.

    Looks like somebody's tired

And I wish. Too bad it isn't the case.

Also because I totally couldn't think of a decent remark involving what brown can do for you.
