Because that's how we roll, Tan.

    That's how we roll.

There was something wrong with us during this.

Americans just weren't paying any attention to foreign tournaments. They apparently weren't paying much attention to UFC either, because it took a hell of along time for the strikers to start effectively bringing up their defenses against takedowns and groundwork.
Well that's true, but what I meant was that BJJ in and of itself caused fighters in the UFC to take submissions/ground fighting more seriously than they perhaps had in the past, and led to the adoption of MMA techniques as the "standard" in the UFC, if you will. Gracie definitely did not invent MMA by any means, nor did I mean to imply that, but I think his victory at UFC 5 definitely influenced the evolution of fighting in the UFC.

And the only other fighting tournament I was even aware of besides the UFC was the Pride FC, so perhaps you're right. (Although I was familiar with the Vale Tudo, but that seemed to be kind of an underground thing outside of Brazil for the most part.) But I don't think anything besides Pride garnered as much attention outside of Japan as the UFC did and continues to do. It did seem to take quite some time for MMA to be as widely accepted as an essential fighting style to any serious fighter in the UFC as it is today, though, I agree.

I didn't fair too well. Second guy out, but I played the last hand the way I should have. I had three of a kind Kings, got taken out by a King high straight.

Oh, and before I forget: Cleverbot never actually said it was Ivolt. True, it never denied the fact, but that first screen was a quick Paint job (would've thought somebody would notice the difference in margins there, actually)

I think everyone figured it to be plausible, and never thought to debunk the statement. It's like someone telling you that oranges are orange. "Well, duh! Of course he's a bot! Didn't you know?"

Ah damn, that sucks. Not much you can do in that situation though. I assume you guys went all in that hand? I would have done the same with trip kings, but then again I guess it depends on if it seemed like he was bluffing or not.

I was wondering why the pic was so small. I didn't notice though. Nice one.

Or Elin. Unless you can grab in-game audio. Then I could try grabbing speech. (Seriously what was the random staticy noise that happened a few times? Noticed when looking for places to break. And I had to amplify the entire thing to make either of us audible at all (even setting the in-game volume to less than a quarter it was overriding both of us when I checked...)...
