Must you scream and shout for attention just because the conversation's topic is, momentarily, something that's not of interest to you? There are plenty of times when people here are talking about things which I cannot relate to. And at those times, I generally just stay quiet. Read what is being said. Or, horror of horrors, go and do something else. If you don't really have anything to say, it really is much better to say nothing at all. It's not a sin for people to talk about something which does not involve you.

I mean I'm not totally without sympathy for your plight. I can kind of relate, being that there was a time when I acted much the same way. When the people who sat at my table in school kept talking about a TV show that I had never seen, and I wanted to be a part of their conversation, but just couldn't, so all I could do to draw the attention back to myself was go on and on about how bad it was. Man, it's tough being a seven year old...
