Ah! That Evans! Somehow it never hit me that it could be him...

Hee hee. Yay Shining Force~ I was obsessed with Odd-Eye as a kid. I cried so much when he died, and didn't go near the game for about a month. Also, um...I didn't want him to die so much that I started conducting little conversations with him in my head for about two months afterwards. I think it was my way of keeping him 'alive', at least for me. That's how bad my grip on reality was when I was a kid.

    Marivel! ^___^~

    3 of the bosses.

I refer to them as "turtle fucker", "big blue bastard" and "that fucking insta killing fuck"

This is giving me bad flashbacks to Link's Awakening. I was only eight years old, and the puzzles aren't so easy. I think it took me about two years to finish.

I thought that game was about a sexual awakening.

    I was so depressed.

Didn't help any that I just finished what my horribly illiterate self thought was "A link to the ass"

Or an awakening to the potential of hallucinogenic drugs? I mean...a giant fish? It was a pretty crazy dream.

Hmph, Link is clearly not interested in such things. He has girls fawning over him on all sides, and he cares only for adventure! He's sort of like Adol from Ys, really. OMG MAYBE THERE'S SOMETHING GOING ON BETWEEN THEM! *writes yaoi fangirl-esque fanfiction*

    But seriously, Adol, why didn't you settle down with Elena? She was so sweet, and so right for you. ;__;

Heh, I was about that age when I first played it, too. Got stuck in the second dungeon, at the part where you have to kill a Pol's Voice, Bat, and Skeleton in order, and I never could figure that out. Never did until over a year later when I picked the game up again. Until that point I just kept playing up to that part, quitting, erasing my file, and restarting from the beginning.

No weirder than most of his other "adventures". Fish girls trying to get in his little green pants and what not.

    DON'T DO IT!

Because no woman can hold Adol down. Unless he wants her to. And even then, it's just until he's finished.

He just keeps ramming into them from different angles until he is victorious.

Okay, that totally only works if you've played the older Ys games. But you seem to have played everything. ^_~

Ouch, yeah, that puzzle got me pretty badly too. And I used to do the same... Either that or I'd just roam the world map aimlessly for hours. I don't even want to think about how many rupees I had saved up at one point.

I'm not sure, though. Is it actually known to be the hardest Zelda puzzle-wise? Or was I just too young? I didn't have any problems with the others, but I played them all much later on...

Has to be, but I just read the FAQs for both the 1st and 2nd game without finding that one I'm thinking of.

I remember it being pale, if not white, and possibly fought in the sky.

Way to be vague, I know.
