You guys realize that there's no possible way the adam and eve story is correct, right?

If the christian dogma is to be believed, that's 6000 years of human descendency with the combined genetics of two people. By now, everyone on the planet would in the range of "blubbering idiot" to "nonfunctional retard"

If you read the bible, you'll know we were meant to be here for a test.
To see if we'd choose jesus/god, or the world/devil.

He didn't make our bodies to live forever but our souls do.
It's the test to see where our souls go.

Sounds like one person's opinion to me.

Well, a few, but you get the idea.

Didn't everything start over with Noah?

I've read the bible multiple times. There's nothing in the OT about a test, just God throwing them out and cursing everything because they got tricked by a snake (before, I might add, they even had knowledge of good and evil). Which stinks of a setup if God is truly All-Knowing and All-Powerful, as Christianity generally states.

But it's still kind of a dick move to go "Believe in me or be tortured for eternity". It's an even bigger dick move to then not tell everyone.

Honestly guys, I can't and am not trying to preach to you. I'm only going as far as my knowledge and some beliefs are, just as you guys are. I'm still struggling for my beliefs and am trying to find out, so bear with me. I can't quite back this up at this moment, but there's a good part of the bible where the predictions have came true or are coming into place, where it may of seemed crazy years ago. Maybe if you look into it you'll find something. Also, i heard they discovered a giant ark on a mountain awhile ago ,and also many of the people in the bible have been discovered.

So...there is truth in the bible. But a lot of it is probably metaphorically.

Not quite. Noah and his family were the only survivors according to the story, and they were all descendants of Adam and Eve anyway, so you've still got the same problem.

Course, that story also involves some biblical incest and drunkenness after the flood receedes, so it's probably not something you'd want to take literally.

Sorry man, you defiantly haven't read or at least comprehended the bible then. :/
You must have not got anything from it or took it all the wrong and cynical way.

They were humans dude, not splitting images of God. They made mistakes, that stuff happens all the time nowadays more than ever unfortunately.

Right. You claim a bunch of predictions, don't say which ones they are and then claim that the Ark has been found when no-one has put forward evidence that it has (and even then, the flood story is still screwed on the basis of geology and tectonics, but that's aside from the point). Then you go on to intimate that I haven't actually looked into the religion.

Forgive me if I don't take these claims all that seriously.

If you read the bible with the intention of disproving everything therein, you might as well be reading the newspaper.

Alternately, I'm reading what is actually written and you're reading what you want to see.

They were also people that God judged worthy to survive when he drowned a generation of children. Doesn't exactly make either of them look good.

Again, you say this because of the "superiority complex" he mentioned earlier. He sees it differently. He doesn't believe the same things as you. Therefore, he's wrong.

Not like he needs me to take his defense, but I've been here long enough to know he knows his shit when it comes down to the Bible.

I was a Christian for 16 years. I didn't go out and try to disprove the bible.
