You could write it like a court case, where Rapunzel is being tried for murder. Maybe there's some sort of league of fairytale princes, that is basically a big scam to trap the hearts of the most beautiful ladies in the land? And you could call in a bunch of other fairytale princesses as Rapunzel's witnesses. Other people who have been similarly taken advantage of by their 'Prince Charmings'.
