It wouldn't in real life though. No airflow, since the treadmill's backwards movement cancels out any thrust from the engines.

Assuming, of course, that the treadmill is imparting the same or greater net force to the vehicle proper as the engine is. Rotating wheels on the landing gear, for instance.
