I played the SNES version and I'm so happy to see the psx version translated!

Okay, I'm kind of a noob at this (I've only ever worked with SNES roms). I followed the Alcohol 120% guide and Absolute Zero's readme exactly, burned it onto a CD-R 700mb disc, but neither my ps1 or ps2 could read it!
I can't figure out what I did wrong...-.-

Your PS1/PS2 would need to be modified to run burned games. Or some sort of swapping methods. Burned games don't normally run on unmodified consoles without some sort of exploit to take advantage of.

Ahh, I see! Thanks so much for clearing that up for me! : )
It's disappointing, but I looked into it, and it seems the best option is the Game Enhancer disc. (I could never perform surgery on my poor ps1/ps2 nor have anyone else do it.)

Why not go down the emulation route, epsxe or something? Its not as if you need a mammoth computer to run it, games play excellently for the very most part and a decent controller/psx pad adapter isnt a huge investment.

well, you need a mammoth for ps2, but psx is no problem.

For Tales of Phantasia, you don't use a PS2 emulator anyway.

ePSXe is the emulator that's the best choice.

Here are 2 guides to using ePSXe:

You could just grab it from the tracker, it's been reasonably well seeded since the patch came out.

*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Begging your pardon O' super moderator, but the readme.pdf from the patch says pSX is better for patched(?) ToP.

Quote: ePSXe tends to cut some XA audio sound samples (i.e. some SKITS wont play at all)

But shouldnt that be the plugin's problem?
