Rather not install it because it'll probably end in disappointment.

Eh, as long as it can run some old games, I'm happy with it. It's not like I'm gonna try Bioshock or Crysis on it.

Now, I have a question, and it may sound dumb or whatever, I don't know much about vidcards and that, but my dad's laptop has a NVidia card (forgot which model, he bought it around this time last year) and DVD's look cool, but Youtube vids run a lot more smoothly than my PC.

Is it my imagination or does a video card improves stuff like that? Say, I have a capturing card, sometimes when there's a lot of movement the recordings stutter, will it help in it's performance?

Yeah the 9550 will be okay if you're using it with a semi-all right processor.

I'm not too sure, I'm not Panda Man, but I wouldn't think so.

I kinda feel like making those gameplay videos again, but I but myself on hiatus until next year while I fix this thing up.

Your imagination is running wild alright *wink* *wink* Astaroth's right. And yes it does improve stuff like that, but so would a faster CPU and Faster/more RAM. Anyone of those could be bottlenecking and causing the slowdown.
