It's not too much trouble, but throwing everything into a dvd and put it in a player would be better.
Yeah it takes ages on my computer too, I eventually just bit the bullet and bought a cheap DivX compatible player/recorder. It's kinda crappy (note to self: never buy another Philips product) but it does the job at least.

Does your DVD player support MPEG files? Not just VCDs, does it have a browser or something that lets you open files on the disk? Because my old one did, and since it only takes around 10-15 minutes to convert an hour long AVI to MPEG on here that's what I used to do. Obviously not the best quality but it served its purpose.

    Sounds like CMM...

    With less fail, though.

The guy I was talking about uses Nero to convert to dvd.

Uh...actually I'm going to save money since I won't use the bus any longer, and extra money means extra food.

    So yeah, it's related.

Nero usually gives a nice quality for the time it takes. Not the best quality but I'd say one of the best quality for time it takes ratio.
A DiVX player is the way to go though. It's just a thousand times easier. IF you buy one now you can find them pretty cheap ($45 Canadian/$1000 US) with even HDMI output.

Yep. I use two buses to get to school, and the price is rising every year though the damn buses are shit. >__> And the subway price has been the same for the last...five years I think.

Thing is, I'll only use one bus, and one subway. Doesn't seem too much, but in the end I'll save about 10 bucks a week.

    ...

Not having a job sucks. >__>
