There are videos of it in youtube I think.

Most TVs that aren't older than god have built-in degaussing functions that occur every time you turn the set on. If your TV's old enough that that isn't working anymore, it's probably time to get a new TV, as the rest of its insides are probably rotten by this point as well.

I need a good site from which to snag PSX ISOs. I'm looking for the Marvel vs games in particular, as well as Castlevania games. I have had shit for luck downloading from EP's servers for one reason or another.

It's a great place if you don't mind the download limit(500 MB per day).
I do find most files are .bin/.cue files so if you wanna burn them, you may need Nero or something.

Hmn. Not bad, I suppose. I guess as long as I stick to smaller games, I'll be fine. The only thing is though, that I'm not going anywhere near Nero. It always screws up my compy.

I'll either keep the files on the computer, use ISOburn or just burn them straight to CD if the bin/cue file fits.

    True that.
A magnet only changes the direction the electrons move inside the tube (electrons are charged negatively duh! ) hence why it distorts the image. The demagnetisation of a CRT only grounds so the tube discharges its static electricity therefore the electrons can flow like they should. Older TV's didn't have a degauss function, but most TV's still working fine ATM should do that when you press the power button. That's also why you hear an electrical noise, like a static discharge. That's also why you won't get a static shock if you touch your TV right after you turn it on but you will after a while.

Depending on the tube shape bringing a magnet close to it could technically permanently damage it.

Fuck. I managed to get a wired router, but now I need a second firewire, and a long one. There are holes in the corner of the room from the ceiling to the floor of the room above, made ages ago for cable wires, and I need to stick the firewire through that to connect the router in my dining room next to my computer to my little sister's new computer in her bedroom.

I got called out at 8:00 this morning. A resident locked themselves out of their apartment, so what did they do? Well, you'd think the answer to that would be 'call the maintenance 24 hour phone number, get let in apartment', but no...

    They called 911.

Yup. Then I get paged with a call from the Richmond Police Department. That'll wake you up fast.

I came back home about 9:00, and slept till almost 1:00
