Every Maxtor I've ever had my hands on kick ass. This 300GB is still strong after 2 years, and I still have a 10GB laying around from 8 years ago that still works.

Yea, that happened about 1 and half years ago. Maxtor drives are still made and sold though, just like Dell and alienware - Dell bought out alienware a long time ago but alienware is still manufactured, sold and advertised for.

Check the product codes on a 300G seagate and a 300G maxtor. they're identical, except the maxtor says SM at the front.

While I was being serious, I'm now more concerned as to why I can't remember what video game you are referencing. Damnit, I can see the weapons in it: M1191A1, XM16E1, AK-47, and I think there's something about a M60? Fuck, this sounds like a game I played. Its on the tip of my tongue. FUCK WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER???

Maxtor internal hard disks are hardly sold anymore, they're hard to find outside of small local PC shops, and the online selection is very limited. Probably why the codes have been redone. Their externals are top notch though. Seagate doesn't sell many externals, but their internals are pretty good. So put them together and you have a bitchin' line up =D

    Metal Gear Solid 3.

M1911 was the normal handgun that Snake uses, XM16E1 is the big machine-gun you carry around and the AK-47 is the normal weapon for the russian soldiers.

    Edited: Name of handgun.
