I still don't get it. What's different about them when compared to XP?

The files themselves. The way the photo viewer in XP saves them and in Vista are different, and its fucking up people who go back to XP or that have older cameras (only a few old cameras are really hit by it though.)

I don't know how much this messes you up though, I never noticed it since I've always used Ifranview.

But again, I can't confirm it. I can confirm the NTFS thing though, with a long technical explanation, similar to the one I recently gave in the mod lounge as to what happens to people when a server is leased a new IP
