My hope is that the game industry buckles a bit. There was too much expansion too fast (not quite the anime boom) and supply is currently greater than demand.
Maybe all the great Japanese game designers will just end up doing kickstarters while SE, Capcom, Konami et al die in a fire. Hey...I can dream can't I? :wacko:

A big problem is the death of the mid-tier developer. It's all AAA or indies (cheaply mass produced aneeeemu rpgs in Japan are the equivalent). It's going to get even worse before it gets better. I mean I really don't know, Japan might be close to done. They have all but abandoned the home console market. All mobile all the time. I really do think kickstarter is one of our best hopes. Kickstarter has already netted me two of the better games I've played in years and allowed the game I am currently most heavily anticipating (Torment) to be made.
In case you misunderstood me earlier, I freaking enjoy older Japanese games, it's the newer stuff that gets me depressed.

What headphones did you get, I'm interested in buying a new pair but probably won't for a while since I have other things I must buy at the moment.
I use my Sony PS4 2.0/Gold headphones on the PC when I want really good sound quality. They're a fantastic pair of headphones, and they work on PS4/3 as well! :wacko:
