I always keep one episode with both the intro/ending theme, but edit out the intro/ending theme from all the other episodes.

At least until they change them.

I could, but I don't want to. :P As I said, I'd like to watch the episodes, not a few minutes of intro's and endings. And I'd rather not fast forward. :wacko: Too lazy for that, so I took a more permanent route.

It's not a bad idea, perhaps it'll give the anime section its much needed activity, and Naruto happens to be the anime most guys around here are interested in. I was just kind of surprised to see the sub-forum. :P

Now, I demand a Claymore sub-forum or I'll incinerate all of you with the flames of my rage!

If there is a new opening or ending I check that then the previews. Though I skip little reruns at the beginning.

This week's Naruto was perhaps the most exciting Naruto since.. ever! The filler and pauses in between fights are mandatory, but the action was impressive and carried some of that vibe found in the early Naruto fights. A step in the right direction. Here's hoping this keeps up.

No they're mandatory. The studio (and the source manga as well) simply cannot have a Naruto episode with out long pauses and stares in between fights. So it's become a mandatory element in Naruto (and the majority of shounen series as well.) Of course, that doesn't mean I like it, I just grew immune to its monotony.

This is the fault of all you people who whined and bitched about how much the fillers sucked.

Now, we're getting constant filler moments throughout non-filler episodes, which are making the non-filler episodes less enjoyable.

And you just know that we're still going to get a few filler episodes here and there anyway.

Shippuuden isn't bad. We can't really expect it to be all action now can we? It's not like every episode during part 1 was all action.

But because they're constantly stretching everything out, it makes the story take longer to be told whether it has action in or not.

And when it takes too long for the story to be told, the story gets boring.

Not really. Manga chapters are released every week on Fridays. That's pretty good to me. :shrug:

Edit: Although it would be nice if the chapters were longer.

Previously thats what I thought too that the Manga chapters were quite small, but then on the other hand, if they start making them longer, the quality of the story might start deteriorating, which would actually be bad :( Its overall better if things are not rushed, at least in case of the Manga, which I actually enjoy more than the Anime these days :)

Oh...you meant "Rushed as in rushed in the story"...I thought "Rushed as in trying to release the manga as soon as possible and reducing the number of pages, quality, etc :P"

Well, you can say that. I also do feel the STORY was rushed and I am in total agreement with you on the above point. They showed off the Akatsuki leader pretty fast who on the other hand was controlled by Tobi, who in fact has the Sharingan and is in some way or the other is Uchiha Madara. Now I think what else is there to know ?? :bore:

and coz of that, I personally think Naruto is coming to an end, unless they come up with another story/Arc :shrug:

Naruto won't end until he becomes Hokage.
So, unless something happens to Tsunade at the end of the Akatsuki arc, Naruto's not coming to an end any time soon.

Also, it's still making a ton of money from merchandising/licensing--be stupid to end it now

Naruto becoming Hokage isn't guaranteed, though. Even if something happens to Tsunade. He be killed at the end during a huge battle, or by sacrificing himself somehow. Or maybe he'll die in a battle against Sasuke. :shrug: Or trying to save Sasuke. You know how the series love dramatic moments. >.>

Sasuke is fighting Itachi and Itachi gains the upperhand on Sasuke for a second and is about to kill him and you hear ''SASUKE!'' and Naruto jumps in and takes the blow and sasuke opens his eyes and sees naruto is like ''naruto?'' ''why...''

then Naruto will be dying or very injured looks at him and is like ''because...your.. my friend'' and keels over and Sasuke looks at naruto lying there and much like naruto did when sasuke was hurt earlier on in naruto part 1, Sasuke doesnt know why but he gets extremelly pissed seeing naruto laying there and cant forgive Itachi for hurting another one of his ''family/friends''

dunno, seems like something that would happen in Naruto, seeing as they like the whole ''friend'' gimmick thing

Wouldn't surprise me if it ends that way. Maybe that's how Sasuke gains Mangekyou Sharingan?

You can cover alot in 30 minutes of the anime.
Hell, one episode of the anime covered 2 chapters of the manga on average.

Things like this are why most anime tends to stray away from the original source material.

Well, at least it's not as bad as DBZ.

that was probably the best Arc Naruto has ever had. Everything went smoothly, i don't remember anything boring about it. Now you take shippuuden and compare it to the older episodes, it's pretty damn shocking.

sadly, i feel the Zabusa saga(forgive my spelling) was the best 20 episodes of the entire anime, other than the filler episodes, which were all full of action and some actually had some decent fights...

I agree that a few of the fillers were good, but c'mon, they don't compare to the Chuunin exam arc or the Sauke betrayal arc.

im mainly thinking of the "Soup of life" arc, and the "Sasuke Betrayal" arc, which i consider filler.

anything after the start of the naruto/sasuke fight is filler imo.

chuunin exam arc took like what 50 episodes?

should have been like 20 at most...

How can you possibly find the Sasuke Betrayal arc filler?
It's one of, if not the most, important parts of the story.

They cannot just rush through the episodes, as if they are going to stay faithful to the manga, they have to spread it out a bit.
And the Chunin Exam was only 37 episodes.
