Well isn't this something.
Verbatim doesn't mean they're good quality.
I know for a fact some Verbatim DVD's I've seen in the past were CMC and they were totally legit (not from ebay).
It's like people think Sony DVD+R are good quality discs, they aren't :lol
If you're buying cheap then just get Ritek, they aren't top quality but better than CMC and moser baer.
is it possible to repair a scratched disk without a repair device?
also I got refunded for that game I bought.
In the past some Maxell and Memorex were actually Ritek. I probably still have some of those here actually.
Hopefully better luck next time. I've never had a half pack of anything fail on me .
You could try to clean and polish it but if it's badly damaged I wouldn't expect much.

Toothpaste method doesn't actually fix anything, it's just trying to temp fill scratches and that shit won't stay like that even if you get it to work..
Novus polish is probably the best bet, but honestly a professional machine works best. Probably not worth it for a game like this though.
i want moar episodes of cowboy bebop :( halp
Yeah, toothpaste is stupid. It's not gonna fill shit, and it's abrasiveness is inconsistent and pretty crap.
If you're looking to polish a disc and don't have professional equipment, consider a wet Mr Clean Magic Eraser. It's basically ultra fine sandpaper. Wet ultra fine sandpaper also works well.
Thank you for telling me where to find Switch games Nintendo. I ordered myself a jig a bit ago, should be here eventually...
Netflix live action?!
Boba Fett's riding school :lol
Any success with the toothpaste or magic eraser?
Toothpaste for scratches is a good trick. It should work unless the disc is heavily damaged.
I should try some of these with my Dark Souls 3 disc. I take care of my physical games, have no idea what happened to it.
Blu-ray has a fairly thick protective layer iirc. How bad is the DS3 disc?
Reason I'm asking is that as long as the inner ring can be read (DS3 dic icon shows up on your dash) you should be able to search for the game on the store and see an install button.
Install the game by downloading the latest version from the store, the disc is only needed to play the game after it is installed (like BC disc installs).
Other games work so it's not the drive either.
It's a bad XB1 disc if it doesn't show up on the dash at all, pressing fault.
I had a lego hobbit disc like that, returned it for a refund. Got another disc from somewhere else and it worked ok.
First time I installed it, it worked. At least I beat it.
Never has again though. I'll take a closer look tomorrow. There's got to be a gouge or something I'm missing.
I can't run it on pc either :(
2nd one works like a charm though.
Weird that it has worked before and has no marks.
well I tried the "magic eraser" fix but it didn't work in fact it actually made it worse it was sometimes readable before but now it won't read at all. kinda sucks was hoping I could save it without spending $$
oh well
