So I backread a little of the hangout, read about everyone's Japanese, etc.
Then I get bored and look at the front page of Wikipedia, to learn that today is supposed to be Victory over Japan Day.
Huh.

Grady - Stands for Team Fortress 2, good game. :P
Ah....sorry...not up on that....I'll assume its a game.
(TF2)
Got my Nintendo Power today..... NEW Castlevania for 3DS! Apparently you can cycle-through Trevor, Simon, Alucard, and another character!! My heart cant take much more....I have never fecked with the 'pre-order' thing, but I might need to....I'd better get two, just in case...leave one sealed...I sound like a crackhead...
Beelze - Sure, thats why I mentioned it, dude. I'll take a pic of these screw variants, they are in my trunk at the moment. Got any GB/GBA/DS games? Gaming mags/SD chips/DS systems?
(I have been making a point to HOLD the NES stuff that we have been getting in...you and a local guy are at the top of the list, man.... :top:)
:4x:
I just wish the Soldiers could hit a damn thing.
Grady: You mean you just don't like turn based games? But yeah, the first VC game is great apparently, the second not so much, and the third is great again. Only played the third one myself, and despite its obvious flaws, it's pretty good. It's not as strictly turn-based as other games, though. It's a bit hard to explain. You actually do take turns, but when you start controlling your soldiers the enemies also start reacting to you in real time. Sort of. Just watching a video of it should do the trick if you're interested.
Actually, if I had to compare it to anything, I'd say the Valkyria games play an awful lot like XCOM as far as combat is concerned.
Hellllooooooo
Nice. What brand and specs?
My step brother is a dish washer. He got another job awhile ago and the place went under. He was apparently so good the guy that managed it fired another guy at one of the other places he manages to bring my step brother over there. Since then he has pretty much taken 90% of the available hours there. So maybe there is a fine art to this?
They use some kind of complicated machine actually, it's not a regular dish washer or some shit.
I don't really count. Shard counts more than me here.
Stasis mode.
:dread:
Stopped by to do a little backreading and say hi everyone. Think I went too far with that first part though. If there's one thing I learned its Grady= Class
Anyways now to do my FF pre-draft rankings :inout:
You mentioned this when I had a 5 screw Donkey Kong Junior Math. What's the deal with em?
The third one is Japan only anyway.
I liked all 3. A lot. VC is still my favourite PS3 game. I think that's evident by all the VC swag I have though. :D
ESPN's default is pretty atrocious. Imo anyway...
Haven't looked at Yahoo yet, my only Yahoo league drafts really late.
Gare - Ah. I know of the 'turn based', and then there are the strategy, as in 'Tactics Ogre'. I havent tried the latter, but I HAVE given Dragon Warrior, FF, and others a solid go. Not my scene, dude. Cant take the combat style..bores me to tears...need that 'HIT' button.
Now, certain games that are labeled as 'rpg' I DO love: Zeldas, Faxanadu, Govellius, etc.
Wifey, she goes crazy for Golden Sun, Sword of Mana, Kingdom Heart, etc.
We have several FF games, spanning many platforms, that essentially collect dust here. Same goes for 90% of the 'JRPGs' that we have collected. (Hoarded)
I'll be sending one to Kouen, but my friends outside the US cannot use many of the others, due to the NTSC/PAL hogshit... :ugh:
Joh - Awww... "class", eh? Thats VERY dapper of you to say, good sir..
(BELCHHH)
:4x:
Zelda isn't an RPG imo. I'd classify it as an action/adventure game.
Should you ever decide to part with that hoard they could collect dust in my dungeon. Though I mostly have what I want now in terms of older stuff.
Sweet man, I appreciate you thinking of me when it comes to the NES. :) I don't really have anything I'm currently getting rid of for the DS. The only extra stuff I have is 5x NES consoles, 1x 1st Gen Genesis console, 1x SNES console, 2x Magnavox Odyseey 2 consoles.
It's just that during NES cartridge production Nintendo decided to revise their cartridge molds. They added clips at the top to reduce the amount of screws needed for assembly to three instead of five. I assume it's to save money reducing the screws needed per cart by two. Some games however where manufactured during the change over from one cart-case type to the other. Thus you have certain NES games that have three and five screw variances. You can even go deeper and find variances not only in screw type, but also in the actual labels. Usually pertaining to the seal of quality being circular or oval. NES collection is crazy.
No officer I'm cant be drunk. These are my Sunday pants.
The big secret about the five screw carts is they sometimes contain Famicom chips with a converter. Which means you can open the cart, remove the converter and use it to play Japanese titles on your NES.
Dont have a use for those consoles, man....as it is we will soon be using our excess decks for garden walk-way 'stones'.... ;)
Dont worry about trade goods at the moment, catch me later...the variants are both Mario/Duck, if memory serves...if you want 'em, to swap/hoarde/sell/whatever, I'll set them aside for you, dude....
Just shoot me your addy via PM...I'll eat the 2-3 lousy bucks that it'll take to ship 'em, heh...
;)
Sprung....the beer is cold, the ashtrays empty...
:4x:
Not to mention that there are some that are pretty rare rare. For instance the DKJr Math previously mentioned. I saw one in not too great shape sell for $125 on nintendoage forums. The Famicom convertors were in some of the really old NES carts too. Mainly in copies of Gyromite though.
wassup DnD night
Oh shit, It's already after 4! I better get going to work. I'll talk to you guys later. :wav:
No reds to tv again. I should call the cable company and rip them a new one.
Have a good one, Beelze.
