Also just installed EvoX on my Xbox. I forgot how awesome it is.
Too bad there are no good games for Xbox on the ep dl page....
What I did was pretty much max out my science and lockpick skills. Then, whenever I had the option of hacking a terminal to open a door, or lockpicking the door open, I would do both. Hack the terminal but don't do anything with it, then pick the door. Seems to have worked fairly well so far -- I'm still about twenty short in each category, but there are still tons of places I haven't visited yet.
Provided shit doesn't explode in my face, I should be able to :platinum: this by the end of the weekend. I was skeptical about my progress for a little bit, but mainly because I thought the main story was going to be a lot longer.
It was not.
@ drag and corey the fallout wikia has a near complete list of all hackable terminals in fo3 along with their locations and difficulty levels.
It's been quite good so far. The difficulty is quite high and there's plenty of cases where you end up wondering just what the fuck you're supposed to do. But you can always just "take back" you last couple moves and try again which means if you don't mind mashing "undo" it's nowhere near as hard. Unless you died somewhere in there. But death is pretty rare. Also, there's a checkpoint in every level. I think it hit a pretty good sweet spot where it doesn't feel overwhelmingly difficult, but it's not easy either. I've only come close to controller throwing rage once, and I quickly just shrugged it off and got back in, eager to get through that section this time.
But then again, I am playing on Normal. They put in easier difficulties for the people who just want to get to the next story section. And then there's hard, which will no doubt be an "interesting" experience. By "interesting", I of course mean "excruciatingly painful". But such is life.
Have you hit the Nuka Cola plant yet? Pretty sure there's quite a few in there. I think any remaining vaults would also be a good idea.
Keep reverse pickpocketing explosives. Great negative Karma action. Also, shoplifting and the like.
Also, slavery. Selling people to slave traders is a great way to become a bastard.
I must rest now. War and drake have drained me. Night gents. Good luck with fallout drag, and raype, try not to eh, whatever it is your doing.
Night. :wav:
Yes, yes I am.
And it is. Provided you don't mind seeing cubes everywhere and suffering some serious tetris syndrome.
There needs to be an option for that. They can add a perk called Uncle Badtouch. Automatic infamy. Everyone attacks you. Like the childkiller perk of old.
But no, that wouldn't be PC.
Like shooting up drugs to heal your wounds.

Oh, look, there's RE in my RPG.

Just realized that I'm downloading an Xbox iso with no way of getting it to my house to play. -_-
Yeah, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with 'morphine' restoring your health. The kicking homeless people off of docked boat cities, lighting people on fire, attaching exploding collars to people and then selling them as slaves, bodies exploding when you hit them with a baseball bat, and mutation caused by a completely irradiated environment due to nuclear holocaust are all alright, but beneficial drug use? That's crossing the line.
Cool, just played some COD4 (leveled again ^_^) Now I'm off to bed. Night :wav:
Wouldn't mind talking about stuff but too sreepy. :wav:
EDIT:
Spoiler warning:
I've been using the Wikia in order to find items and whatnot. It kind of sucks for describing locations and whatnot, though. In fact, the majority of guides that I've read are pretty vague about describing locations. It's kind of frustrating, especially when you have to go somewhere via the metro tunnels in DC.
That has pretty much been my entire stance on the game. It's... kind of fun, but it feels like work, trying to push through all of this.
I've even been taking my union mandated breaks every two hours.
I might have to check it out one of these days. The gameplay footage I saw of it before it was released definitely looked interesting, and from what I've heard of the story of the game it sounds very intriguing and something that I would enjoy, but I'm always iffy about "puzzle" games, because I'm not terribly good at puzzle games. And I feel bad playing a game on Easy or Very Easy, 'cause it's like, "well, I don't have the energy to dedicate any significant amount of time to learning how to play this game that these people spent hundreds of thousands of dollars developing, so I'm just going to play it on the lowest difficulty setting and make myself out to be a badass."
Doesn't feel right. :sad-no:
Still, I'll watch your LP (eventually) and decide for myself when I see it in real time across more than just a five minute "preview" video. I might have to put it on my list as a "last resort" pick up, when there's nothing else that I really want to play.
Just finished the Nuka Cola Plant, Paradise Falls, Super Duper Mart, and the truck just outside of Old... Olsey? Olney? Whatever that place to the north of the map was called. The plant only had three inside and one outside, there were five in Paradise Falls, five in the truck, and three in Super Duper Mart. Still eight more to go. I'm going to try and find ones in locations with bobbleheads as well. Kill two birds with one stone.Quote:

You COULD always grab the demo off PSN if you're wondering if you'd enjoy the actual gameplay  (Though if they really did spike the difficulty.....)
Thank fuck.
Just found the last of my thirty Nuka-Cola Quantams.
Last side quest completed. :]
... once I find the place where it's supposed to start. I never actually engaged the side quest.
After having replayed those levels for the LP (and having quickly played with the NA demo which uses the J demo's layout), I can state that the demo is just slightly above Normal difficulty. And part of that could be that they took the first and last level from the first dream sequence (there's 2 levels between them that gradually introduce you to some neat tricks, gradually spike the difficulty curve, and let you get used to the game mechanics before throwing a true challenge your way).
The demo goes from the cakewalk level to the OH GOD, WHAT IS THAT THING CHASING ME OH FUCK level in mere seconds.
I'm also enjoying the full game a lot more than the demo, since they cut A LOT of the cool stuff you can do from it. Checking out the bar, seeing some of the non-boss levels, and hanging around the landings adds a bit of fun value to it while breaking up the gameplay. They also did a sort of cut down version of the first day's events. There's a couple bits there they removed. Probably to speed you along.
Also, some of this could be that I was playing a game in my non native language at 4 am while recording myself. Which also lead to me not using an important game mechanic. Boy, was my face red.
Far left of the map,

Just don't drink any.
It makes your urine glow.
Also, it would appear that my XP is glitched.
The bar when I kill an enemy says that I'm about a quarter of the way into level 17.
The experience counter on my PipBoy says I'm 400XP away from level 18.
:hm?
5 AM.
Don't feel like sleeping yet.
Time to fire up the PS3 and dick around in Babel or Rapunzel for a bit.
