I forgot to get all the damn hacks and said fuck it and never went back for it.

What I did was pretty much max out my science and lockpick skills. Then, whenever I had the option of hacking a terminal to open a door, or lockpicking the door open, I would do both. Hack the terminal but don't do anything with it, then pick the door. Seems to have worked fairly well so far -- I'm still about twenty short in each category, but there are still tons of places I haven't visited yet.

Provided shit doesn't explode in my face, I should be able to this by the end of the weekend. I was skeptical about my progress for a little bit, but mainly because I thought the main story was going to be a lot longer.

It was not.

I've been intrigued by that game, but petrified to actually try it. I'm going to watch some of your LP later tonight, and hopefully this will solidify the factor for me.

It's been quite good so far. The difficulty is quite high and there's plenty of cases where you end up wondering just what the fuck you're supposed to do. But you can always just "take back" you last couple moves and try again which means if you don't mind mashing "undo" it's nowhere near as hard. Unless you died somewhere in there. But death is pretty rare. Also, there's a checkpoint in every level. I think it hit a pretty good sweet spot where it doesn't feel overwhelmingly difficult, but it's not easy either. I've only come close to controller throwing rage once, and I quickly just shrugged it off and got back in, eager to get through that section this time.

But then again, I am playing on Normal. They put in easier difficulties for the people who just want to get to the next story section. And then there's hard, which will no doubt be an "interesting" experience. By "interesting", I of course mean "excruciatingly painful". But such is life.

Have you hit the Nuka Cola plant yet? Pretty sure there's quite a few in there. I think any remaining vaults would also be a good idea.

Keep reverse pickpocketing explosives. Great negative Karma action. Also, shoplifting and the like.
