I've been using the Wikia in order to find items and whatnot. It kind of sucks for describing locations and whatnot, though. In fact, the majority of guides that I've read are pretty vague about describing locations. It's kind of frustrating, especially when you have to go somewhere via the metro tunnels in DC.
That has pretty much been my entire stance on the game. It's... kind of fun, but it feels like work, trying to push through all of this.
I've even been taking my union mandated breaks every two hours.
I might have to check it out one of these days. The gameplay footage I saw of it before it was released definitely looked interesting, and from what I've heard of the story of the game it sounds very intriguing and something that I would enjoy, but I'm always iffy about "puzzle" games, because I'm not terribly good at puzzle games. And I feel bad playing a game on Easy or Very Easy, 'cause it's like, "well, I don't have the energy to dedicate any significant amount of time to learning how to play this game that these people spent hundreds of thousands of dollars developing, so I'm just going to play it on the lowest difficulty setting and make myself out to be a badass."
Doesn't feel right.
Still, I'll watch your LP (eventually) and decide for myself when I see it in real time across more than just a five minute "preview" video. I might have to put it on my list as a "last resort" pick up, when there's nothing else that I really want to play.
Just finished the Nuka Cola Plant, Paradise Falls, Super Duper Mart, and the truck just outside of Old... Olsey? Olney? Whatever that place to the north of the map was called. The plant only had three inside and one outside, there were five in Paradise Falls, five in the truck, and three in Super Duper Mart. Still eight more to go. I'm going to try and find ones in locations with bobbleheads as well. Kill two birds with one stone.Originally Posted by Raype

The sad part is, I've been attempting a mostly good playthrough, and see to be perpetually stuck on Neutral or just barely higher than.
Apparently I like killing civilians.
You COULD always grab the demo off PSN if you're wondering if you'd enjoy the actual gameplay(Though if they really did spike the difficulty.....)
Thank fuck.
Just found the last of my thirty Nuka-Cola Quantams.
Last side quest completed.
... once I find the place where it's supposed to start. I never actually engaged the side quest.

After having replayed those levels for the LP (and having quickly played with the NA demo which uses the J demo's layout), I can state that the demo is just slightly above Normal difficulty. And part of that could be that they took the first and last level from the first dream sequence (there's 2 levels between them that gradually introduce you to some neat tricks, gradually spike the difficulty curve, and let you get used to the game mechanics before throwing a true challenge your way).
The demo goes from the cakewalk level to the OH GOD, WHAT IS THAT THING CHASING ME OH FUCK level in mere seconds.
I'm also enjoying the full game a lot more than the demo, since they cut A LOT of the cool stuff you can do from it. Checking out the bar, seeing some of the non-boss levels, and hanging around the landings adds a bit of fun value to it while breaking up the gameplay. They also did a sort of cut down version of the first day's events. There's a couple bits there they removed. Probably to speed you along.
Also, some of this could be that I was playing a game in my non native language at 4 am while recording myself. Which also lead to me not using an important game mechanic. Boy, was my face red.

Just don't drink any.
It makes your urine glow.![]()
Also, it would appear that my XP is glitched.
The bar when I kill an enemy says that I'm about a quarter of the way into level 17.
The experience counter on my PipBoy says I'm 400XP away from level 18.

Don't feel like sleeping yet.
Time to fire up the PS3 and dick around in Babel or Rapunzel for a bit.
