Um... actually, that's a lie. I joined in 2003. :'D I ended up switching to this account as kind of a joke that went too far. ^^;;; I've had the internet on and off since 1999.

Women being topless is either illegal or regulated in a lot of countries. Only a few countries maintain things like topless beaches and of those only a few allow it to go outside of designated zones. Up here I can walk down the street sans shirt, as can any woman. In some places, that'd be jail time. Although in their defense, some require the men to be wearing shirts at all times aside from designated zones too. Which makes a bit more sense.

But the whole thing is odd in a way. The indecency associated with women removing their shirt is due to social norms combined with the thoughts of the person observing it. From a logical standpoint, we should be locking people up for being perverts instead.

It's probably for the best. Living in japan teaches you to enjoy tight spaces and fine seafood. Living in Canada gets you used to big empty open areas and causes you to develop a crippling addiction to fatty foods and coffee. I'm sure that taking on Japanese tendencies will be more useful in the long run. :wacko:

Because all the Canadians I've met have been lovely, a lot of their legal system and civil rights jives with me, and because my father went and it seemed like an amazing country from his photos. ^^;;; Also because I want to improve my French, and if I picked the right location, there would be just enough English speakers for me not to get homesick, but just enough French that I'd get good really quickly~
