Yep, by 1 day. Sorry.

Burnout Revenge arrived today :]
I keep getting a bunch of doubles in the mail along with other games I requested. At least I have shit to trade now. :P
Evergrace came today.
Well, I don't know how many unique page views the site gets per day, but I figure if MasJ can afford to run EP largely on ads without having to beg for money every other day, Goozex should be able to run their service without kicking me in the wallet every time I want to do a trade.
Really though, knowing why something happens doesn't always make it easier to swallow. I'm probably gonna pay around ten bucks to ship these games tomorrow (That includes packaging, something I'm going to invest in in bulk as soon as I can...), but if I want something shipped in return once I get all the points situated, I gotta pony up another buck to do it. Again I understand that Goozex sees none of the money that I've payed for shipping, but as there is an expense involved on my part just to do one half of a trade, that I should pay further to complete that trade makes it seem like they're picking my pockets, even if that's not the case at all. It sucks is all, 'ya dig?
I've said it before elsewhere, and I'll say it again here; it's all in the context. If they were to ask me to pay a couple of dollars a month for a membership, I'd be cool with it. I know it's not really any different than paying for trade credits when all is said and done, but when you present the fees in a way that doesn't come off like extortion, it does a lot to ease my mind, y'know?
But hey, it could be worse. I didn't initially pay for any of the games that I'm shipping out tomorrow, so a buck twenty per game aint all that bad, nor is a buck for a trade credit. It's just the principle of asking me to pay for what should be a standard part of the service that irks me, even if it goes to pay server costs.
I see your point, don't get me wrong, but I don't see it as extortion. I just see it as their way of actually making a business out of it, instead of just as website. (Comparing it to EP again, MasJ isn't in it to make money)
I just received Burnout Revenge in the mail today. It's still $13 at Gamestop, but I got it for the $1 trade credit, and 200 points, which I got for shipping out 2 100 point games at $2 each. So I only have $5 invested in a $13 game. Not much when you look at just Burnout, but I have received 10 games so far from Goozex, so extrapolate that out to roughly $80 saved. ;)
EDIT: just got 2 emails from Goozex:
nice to see more games going back down ;)Quote:

Spirits & Spells (Cube)
points traded: 150
status: Match! Goozex found a matching offer for your game, and is awaiting confirmation from the seller. The seller has 25 hour(s) left to confirm the trade.
It's so hard playing these old games, I'm used to the luxury of COD4 and next gen games. But they're still fun nonetheless. Can't complain for free games. XD

Just got MLB 07: The Show today, full package, flawless disc.
Yeah, I bought Orphen I Ebay, (disc slightly beat up but worked fine) (and came w/ manual in great condition even though he said he didn't have it). But the Evergrace disc was flawless (that I got from Goozex). Its weird how that works. Granted it was a new seller on Ebay I bought it from.
I keep getting emails saying I am out of points, and missing trades. Sure, I could buy more points, but I have 2 games I sent out on the 6th, and havent received my feedback yet. I'd rather wait for those slow fuckers to respond and get the points for free.
Wow, this is one interesting site... just got my Sonic Adventure request confirmed, so hopefully the Dreamcast I bought on eBay comes before the game :P
Also, first post. Hi.
Yeah, goozex has better quality games than ebay. Go figure. XD
Thanks to this service (the promo) I got a ton of free games.
I kept the ones worth playing and sold the lame ones to gamestop today. Got Mass Effect, Tony Hawk Project 8, and Lost Planet for 25 bucks new for the 360.
Sweeet.
I'm still waiting on feedback for the games I sent on Saturday. That said, it's only Tuesday, so I'm not expecting it just yet.
I just noticed though, that the guys I'm sending them to are all new members, and so my concern comes from whether or not I'll get my points right away. My worry is that they may decide to bounce after they get their free game, leaving me waiting on the system to give me my credit.
Anybody wanna buy my account with 21 trade credits? Give me an offer.
I am thinking the buzz over goozex is dying now since everyone has basically gotten all the games they wanted by this point or just disagree with 1000 points for a game thats 10 years old. either way I am waiting on legacy of cain for the ps1 and hoping the guy sends it before I end up with negative points ( i kept forgeting to send out the other game and by this point I am not sending it just to get neg feedback anyway) so wish me luck :D
So it seems Final Fantasy 7 is worth 1000 points, which leads me to ask this question: there are actually people out there who DON'T have it by this point? I find that quite hard to believe yes sir I do.
It's not even worth 20 bucks anymore.
You can get it for free on the computer, or get it from a friend, or someone who's selling old ps1 games for 2-10 bucks.
Goozex is dumb like that. :P
actually it took me a couple days to get a working copy of ff7 off the net. and when I did there was only 1 person sharing it luckly he stayed logged in long enough for me to get them. well I found a bunch of version actually but the were either in a different language or they had been hacked to make them harder
Edit: well that was before i found this place I dunno about here
The value on FF7 shot WAY up right after Advent Children was released. It wasn't uncommon to see piles of them selling for $100+ on eBay every day. And far far more for sealed copies. Ridiculous considering there's millions of copies out there, it's one of the most common PSX games... I'm sure the value has dropped off now, but I can see why Goozex would ask 1000 points.
i still had 100 points from an account that i made fro my girlfriend. i just asked for the halo 2 Mmap pack

Star Trek Lagacy (360) arrived today :]
I'm getting gta 3 in the mail for xbox. From sayswap though. What a shit site. XD
I have like...5 accounts for it, and been there over a month.
Just now getting a game, and an old, cheap one at that. Goozex I got like 50 in a month. XD
I don't trust those sites to go legit. I trade locally.
I just got Splinter Cell on the Wii. Not exactly a game I wanted, and I'm not sure why I put it on my list, but I got it. It seems to be in good condition.
I'm going to test it and then hop on over to Goozex and give him some positive feedback if it works alright. Then my dealings with that site are done.
Double Agent?
It's a fun game.
I got it for two old computer software discs. XD
I just added that, and it was filled before I finished adding some other games. o_OQuote:
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
points traded: 500
status: Match! Goozex found a matching offer for your game, and is awaiting confirmation from the seller. The seller has 26 hour(s) left to confirm the trade.
And I just bought the 500 points. Didn't have them 10 minutes :P
Cool, hope you get it. It's a fun game.
I second that I got Evolution Worlds for the Gamecube (kind of wanted), there are not enough users and I got lucky and found a user called xbox_pimp, who just traded a bunch of stuff and he does this kind of thing for profit, and it was legit, it was worth it, but a huge hassle, Goozex is much better. Sayswap does give you like 75 cents for shipping though.
