Default Of Sadism, Gore and Impolite Language (or: Hypnos LPs Deception III)*

Resurrecting my only current on-going LP here. Most of you already know what D3 is about, but I'll reiterate anyway. You place horribly violent traps, lure enemies into them and generally try to survive a world where your enemies are heavily armed warriors and your armory (or lack thereof) forces you to fight your battles like the violently deranged cousin of Macauley Culkin in Home Alone.

All in all, good family fun.

    The story so far:

More of you bastards need to watch this. Deception III is a game that doesn't deserve to be ignored so badly as it has been.

    And now the pain continues.

Hopefully I'll be able to churn these out at 1 a day or so for the next few days. Get closer to the end.

    Oh shit, guess whats back?

Another stage of life-defying, sanity-occluding wholesome violence.

It just gets worse, like talking to an empty echo chamber.

    Hmmm.....
Well, Deception apparently is a game that should be tried at least once.
I really don't have much to say about the strategies, since I haven't played it yet, but I will comment on those as soon as I do.

    Also, nice LP!

(I will just have to also follow the storyline in sequence, since I started watching it in non-linear manner. )

Despite my issues, this LP will be continuing. Video for stages 9-14 has been recorded, audio will be dealt with later today. Hopefully I can get them all up before my intermittent access to a working net connection disappears again.

It's always nice to see an update to Hypnos' adventures of a raving madman. Unfortunately, I've forgotten any and all of the plot occurring before stage 9, aside from what happens with Marco, but I'm only in this for the cruel, violent deaths and the Hypnos-style sadistic commentary anyway.

It never fails to amuse me that no matter how many horribly painful and definitely fatal traps a person falls into, they're always guaranteed to have a few seconds of life left to gurgle out some sort of regret filled dialogue. It's almost like Bianca enjoys having a moment or two to point and laugh at her adversaries' misfortune just before they bleed out. I like her.

There isn't really a lot of plot explained prior to stage 9. It can all pretty much be summed up as 'Character X wants revenge on character Y for what they did at the request of character Z'. For everyone. Explanations don't start to pop up until later on.

and yeah, Bianca is a sadistic bitch at times. It's almost the overarching theme of the series - that it takes a seriously fucked up person to wield the traps in the first place, let alone continue using them for any length of time.

And what a glorious clusterfuck it is.

    My personal recommendation? More Fire.

    Make it happen.

I blame you Ivolt. If I'd had REAL traps instead of your pansy fire bullshit, this video would be half as long (and approximately one third as profane).

You'd just better hope the next level has more places for me to use some fire traps, or I'll break out the ice traps from here on in.
