I suppose it's for the best that I never tried it, then. Persona II: EP stole nearly 100 hours of my life.

It's fun. It has 2 endings, and it starts out slow, but it gets much better after a certain event near the beginning of the game.
I need to goget another copy. I know were to get one new, but it's 40 bucks.

    It is.
Average play times are 50 hours, and there is no way you can get all the events on the first playthrough.

I don't think it ever got released here, actually. I think I still have the NTSC ISO kicking around, though. Might give it a go.

I personally used Cliff, but seeing a battle of Ethereal Blast vs. Ether Strike is still impressive.

Haha. Only in a tri-Ace game...

I swear, if they announce that Star Ocean IV's platform is the PS3, I won't be pleased. Though it's looking pretty likely.

Now I want Star Ocean 3 again.

I bet, that game's really addictive once you get into it, what with all the characters to boost.

Oh shit. Gotta go make supper. :O

    See you people later! *waves*

The most annoying thing about Persona II for me was that the Personas' improvement isn't based on experience. With most RPGs, you reach a point where you can look at a numerical experience scale and say 'there's no point in me levelling here anymore; it'll take too long'. But with Persona II, you could improve your stats indefinitely at the same stage of the game at the same rate, so the temptation was always there to just fight on...and on...and on...

I probably need to head for bed in a bit too. Got another university application to fill out tomorrow. I'm already sick of writing the same personal statement over and over...

    Anyway, take care. G'night.

I have a habit of getting lost easily in RPGs.
It took me about 3 hours to find the key and reach the boss battle in P2:EP.
And I still lost the damn fight.

Persona 2 gave you a map, though, so surely it wasn't too bad? Or...even with a map...?

Anyway, I probably need to disappear now. I want to go do an hour's piano practice before bed. Nice speaking with you, Ivolt. Take care. Bye bye.

    # SAT originally meant Scholastic Achievement Test. In 1941, the College Board changed its name to Scholastic Aptitude Test (whereas "achievement" suggests what a student has accomplished, "aptitude" suggests a student's potential). In 1990, the name was changed to Scholastic Assessment Test, and finally in 1994, the initials were officially declared to stand for nothing at all, reflecting the College Board's reluctance to specify anything definite that the test actually measures.[31]
    # DVDs were originally designed as media for audio-visual data, and as such the abbreviation originally stood for "Digital Video Disc", regardless of the fact that the medium could carry any data. As the format inevitably came into common use for other data storage, a different semi-official expansion was created, namely "Digital Versatile Disc". However, "DVD" officially does not stand for anything.[8]

    Cool to know.
