I got better FPS with Oblivion than I did Doom 3. Doom 3 is teh sux0rs.
As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

How long have you had your ATI Radeon 9250, Jetset?

Last October. I'm thinking of getting BFG's PCI Geforce 6200 sometime this fall... I coulda swore there were PCI 6600's but I can't find any anymore

6600's were AGP and PCIe I'm afraid.

So I'm right in my findings that the best PCI cards are Geforce 6200's and Radeon x1550's? I might be tempted to get the Radeon instead of the Geforce, but apparently the power requirements of the x1550 would make my computer implode. I've read review on newegg of Dimension 2400 owners getting and using the 6200 without problems.

What PSU are you using? You could step down and get a X1300 PCI.

From looking around, an X1300 should work.
