Tell me about RPG

hi there i would like to know some great rpg's for some emulations. At the moment i have NES, SNES, N64, and Playstation emulators (trying to get ps2) any reccomendations to any games would be nice. and while im at it might aswell put up my favs.

Suikoden 1 (PS)
Suikoden 2 (PS)
Secret of Mana (SNES)
Seiken Densetsu 3 (SNES)
Final Fantasy 1-10 (NES, SNES, PS, PS2)
Paper Mario (N64)
Zelda : Ocarina of Time(N64)

those are some of the best games i've played and playing. let me know some of yours!

OK then, lets do this by system

SNES: Romancing Saga 3 (a really non-linear RPG where you can choose from several main characters), Shin Megami Tensei (horror-edged RPG focused around demons), Front Mission (really hard tactical RPG with mechs), Super Mario RPG, Robotrek, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Dragon Quest 5 and 6, Fire Emblem, Uncharted Waters. Probably a dozen others I've forgotten.

N64: Didn't really have any good RPGs beyond the Zelda and Mario games.

PSX: I'll leave that to someone more knowledgeable.

If you can get a Genesis/Mega Drive emulator, download the games from the Shining Force, Phantasy Star and Langrisser series'. Genesis RPGs are usually overlooked because there were so few compared to the SNES, but there's some hidden gems.

I recommend playing translated jap snes rpg's that way. Shin megami tensei 1&2, live a live, DQ5&6, treasure hunter J, sd3, star ocean, and many others.

I'd like to second Romancing Saga 3. It's an amazing game, though I could never get all too far in it without using a FAQ for some reason. The lack of confirmation when you enter a new place scared the hell out of me.

Oh, Valkyrie Profile, PSX. Best game ever, no contest. Also, if you're interested in the Suikoden Storyline/universe, go with Suikoden III. It'll piss you off at first, but the plot is orgasmic

For Snes, I'd suggest Super Mario RPG, and the Lufia games.

For the snes, if you like the FF games Bahamut Lagoon was kinda cool too!!
Star Ocean which someone mentioned, but Star Ocean 2 for psx is one of my all time faves, liked it better than 3 for ps2. Also I really got into Shadow Hearts for the PS2 as well.
