Before I got mine I saw people saying idling at low 60s is decent, mines at like 56 now, and I've never seen it above 70 while gaming. Was just a little surprised. My 6800 GS reached 97 degrees at one point.

    Thanks man.

My 8800 GTS runs fairly warm under load... 69-70 degrees in my case and if the game is a very intensive one it could even reach up to 75 degrees. Titan Quest and Oblivion hate my vid card.

You could get RivaTuner and set the videocard's fan speed so it works always @ 100%, but that will kill your fan faster.

Be sure that you have a well ventilated case. And to periodically clean the videocard's fan with a can of compressed air. I saw one of these babies burn out because of a faulty fan.

I was just shocked at how quiet it is and how cool it says it is. I think I might even be able to get a little lower with some cable management and then I can try some overclocking.
