I was in the stor for hours, comparing the projections, the LCDs, the 'new fangled whatevers'...

I finally narrowed it down to this one, and a 63" digital micro-whats-its projection...although the other one was a tiny bit sharper, I could see ghosting and it was almost like a poorly compressed MPEG...artifacts...the salesman said some people can pick up on that, while the majority of people never see it.

Where did you buy it at.

The sound is quite important here, my sound card supports 5.1 and I watch it while using headphones. The sounds of the electrical tension and other ambiental stuff sounds quite well.

Oddly enough, the only place in town that has one of those entertainment centers that go over and beside a widescreen TV is a rent-to-own place. I went ahead and got it there, and will probably either keep it long enough to find one elsewhere, or buy it for cash value...screw renting it for a year and a half and paying three times what its worth.

It's $199 for 3 years, $299 for 5. He said they go above the factory warranty, so if one of the CRT guns go bad, they replace all of them instead of just the bad one, as Hitachi does. Something about the other ones having to work hard to perform as well as the new one...or something.

I got the 3 year for $99.
