Post in the comp tech section. He probably meant that XP won't boot, which means you just need to plug it in as a slave drive and make sure the BIOS is set to boot from the master drive and then format the drive in windows.

Well, apparently cleaning the PS2 lens with a bit of alcohol and cotton helps.

RE4 doesn't skip anymore, and the disc isn't THAT scratched, just normal use scratchs.
