Voldemort ends up dying when hit by his own curse as it rebounds during a fight with Harry. Pretty anti-climactic, that, but it does allow Harry to continue on without blood on his hands. The end of the book takes place 19 years after the defeat of Voldemort, and Harry has got a kid with Ginny. Other stuff happens. The end.

Filling up your HDD to near its total capacity might slow it down. Dunno if that's your problem.
