    Default Benoit dead...

I don't know how many of you watch wrestling, but one of the wrestlers named Chris Benoit, his wife, and his son were killed recently. I created this thread for those who do watch WWE to post their feelings about this news. Honestly, I didn't know them, but I hate the fact that he and his family were killed, and I truly hope that whoever killed them get caught very soon.

Erm...killed? I just heard it, and that they were found dead in their home but I didn't heard anything about how they were found.

I don't follow wrestling THAT MUCH, but I knew who he was, he was a good wrestler...

Honestly, it doesn't matter that wrestling is fake. The loss of any life is sad, and I thought some people might want to vent.

The only problem is that I can't find news about this on any site other than the WWE site, and that's a bit suspect.

When you consider the fakery that is wrestling on the whole, it's sorta hard to know where the BS ends and the truth begins. I'm certainly not saying that it hasn't happened, only that I'll personally have to wait for a reputable source to mention it without citing the WWE site before I'll believe it.

Oh, of course Wiki has it up, but when has anything posted on Wiki been reliable?

It will probably be taken down and the article locked until a reputable source emerges.

This would be so fucked up if it is fake though. Kill him for ratings if you have to, but his family too? Overkill.

EDIT: Apparently I'm not the only one that thinks Wiki is shit. They've locked the article to keep people who've not registered from editing it. Why would they do that, if not because people have been questioning the credibility of the source, as well as the complete and total lack of information regarding this death anywhere in the media, aside from of course sites that have cited the WWE post? Hmn.

edit: And since nobody seems to take this seriously, I request the thread be closed and deleted.

Um, so failure to take what is as of now an unsubstantiated report seriously is grounds for closure and deletion? I think not.

It's just that, lacking any sources that don't cite the WWE entry as their source, something pretty-much all of the articles that you linked to do, it's hard to really take this seriously. I'm sure should the situation change, that people's attitude will adjust similarly, but lacking any proof that this actually happened, and that it is not just a lame set-up by the WWE to boost ratings, how to you expect us to react?

And given that it's not fucking fact that this guy is absolutely dead, it's a little premature to be giving anyone a hard time for not respecting him. Also, Jase is just a dick. You should pay as little attention to anything he says on principle.

Well, Jase sorta did, but is anyone surprised? I mean, I'd be more surprised if he didn't come into a thread like this and start disrespecting the person or persons in question.

But yeah, Jase aside, how does choosing not to believe this based on a current lack of anything resembling real evidence that it actually happened disrespectful? I don't get it.

EDIT: Sprung, please pay attention you doddering old fart. I said I'd like a link that doesn't cite the news-posting from the WWE site, as that of all places is the least likely source to be trustworthy, given the sad, stupid nature of what they do. All of the links that I've found do cite it. None of them are reporting on this news on a first-hand basis.

    Thanks.

    They believe it's a murder-suicide then?

Well, as I can't say anything positive about the man at this point, I'll just step aside and let everyone who liked the guy pretend that the things he did in life negate the cowardly way he opted out of it.
