You are providing us with no details. What emulator? What game? How is it messed up?

I just tried it on my own laptop. It runs fine on the latest version of Zsnes, using the European release of the game. Sound is all good. Try downloading the European ROM and the latest ZSNES here (extract the .rar with winrar): http://uploaded.to/?id=sik0k0

And see if you still have problems.

You need to have WinRar or 7-Zip installed.

    WinRar:
    http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

    7-Zip:
    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then you right-click on the game file you downloaded, and choose Extract.

After extracting you should have several files.

The CD image itself (also called ISO) can have different extensions: .bin, .iso, .img, .nrg

So, when you start ePSXe, then go to File > Run ISO > you should choose the CD image (which will have one of those extensions)

If the extension of the game files is .mds & .mdf then you'll need Daemon Tools too (instructions here):

All PSX games on the internet are compressed. And need decompressing with WinRAR.

Open the first game file, and click on extract. after it has extracted (I usually click on extract to, and put the game in the same file as the emulator), open the emulator, click on the Play ISO, and locate the game (as cookie monster said, should be in .bin .iso or .img format), and that should make it run.
