Probably. It all depends on when we're rolling through.

It was in the massive monster-mama freezer. About a week ago I moved it to the fridge-freezer ebcause it was too hard to get out. Like, it was rock hard, spoons bent, worlds collided and shit fucking exploded. So I expected it to be soft, as Ice-cream that is usually in that freezer is. But it's still as hard as parallel worlds.
That's the problem. Your ice cream must have melted a bit and froze over again a few times, making it even harder. If you want it soft, just leave it in there for a night or something.
    @ shit exploding.

What does that big freezer look like?

You coming over for my birthday?
A properly operating freezer will cool to 0 to 10 below.

    But, I see your point

Anything will get freezer burns in any sort of freezer. It's the contact with the air that's the cause of it. Vacuum seal your shit or wrap it in Seran wrap (plastic foil thing). That does it.
The chest freezer's colder temp just makes it happen faster. The defrosting was just for the ice cream getting hard and disgusting, yet still tasty.

    It's just a chest freezer.

It's actually a bit smaller than our old one.

Yeah, thanks, I mixed up my numbers. Fridge is at 4°C, and not the freezer at -4.

And, yes, "fridge freezers go on defrost often" is what I was pointing out.

Why? It'll melt in the fridge part.

Oh, tomorrow's the day. Hope I don't fuck it up.

Also, how can I reduce the number of replies per page? I have like 40 a page and it's hell to scroll thorugh.
