    Default teach me everything about iso files

    hello to anyone who's looking at this thread, my question here is a very common one.. how the heck do i deal with iso files???? after ive done downloading em, how exactly do i decompress them??? do i combine them all at once? cuz the game i seperated into 2 cd's, do i combine them altogether?? and fter that, how do i play the game?? can it be playedwith an emulator called vgs(virtual game station)?? thanks to anyone that replies

    Man how much time do you have? lolz. oki here goes.

    1.) In order to deal with ISO files you first need a program that handles them. Preferably Alcohol 120%. I find it the best for working with ISO's and many other image formats. You can create many image formats with it as well. You can even mount images to the virtual drive it creates for emulation.\

    2.) You only need to decompress ISO files if they are compressed to begin with. For example if its in a .zip a .rar a .7z, or the most common winrar (.rar) split archive. (In the case of a split archive go to the first piece (usually part 1 or .01) and extract from that file and it should extract the ISO from the other peices automatically.

    3.) Yes you do need to put all the files in the same directory (folder) when you extract.

    4.) VGS? I wouldn't recoomend that one. Get ePSXe v1.6 or pSX v1.11. Those are the best 2 emulaotrs for PSX out right now.
