    Default Making chunk files

Uh this may seem stupid, but how do you make chunk files? What software can I get to make it? Coz the ISO files are in chunks of 50mb, so I got curious how to make them. Pls help. Thanks!

You mean like RAR part files?

    ie.

    asdf.part1.rar
    asdf.part2.rar
    asdf.part3.rar

    [each .rar being 50mb]

    Is this what you mean?

use winrar, winzip, 7zip or similar program

add the file you want to split to the archive, and it should have some sort of screen pop up to ask you specific options for it

and theres an option somewhere for splitting the files

When compressing, most people use the included file splitter.
When you're not compressing though, you can always use HJsplit.

As good as all compression programs (Winzip, winrar, 7zip, powerarchiver) can do it. There is also HJSPLIT which does not compress, only split.

    here's a mini-guide.

    download winrar (http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/wrar37b8.exe)

right click your file and click "Add Archive" see pic:

check out the "Split to volumes, bytes section" see pic:

in that input box, put the size of each "chunk" you want in bytes.

I always convert megabytes to bytes using this converter:

    http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/calculate/

After getting the byte value, simply put it in the box and click "OK".

    Enjoy

An easier way would be to type the number of megabytes.
Example, instead of typing 52428800 type 50m.
    Trust me, it works.

Just whatever you do, don't type 50. Last time I did that with a GB file, I was clearing rar files off my desktop for days.

Ya, I learned it from someone else too. Used to whip out my calc.exe all the time just to find how many bytes I wanted my files to be. Then the windows calc wouldn't keep up with the number of digits and I would end with 15mb files or something when I wanted 150mb files.

Be my guest kupo, but you know it's longer to hold SHIFT then press M and B than to just press M.

    Edit:
