I had along night setting my pc up and I know I am not done yet not ven close. I know there is a lot of software I forgot to reinstall and setting up my start menu to be less cluttered

Remember to use Norton Ghost or a similar application once you've got it set up

I thought that prog was for ghosting the info from one hard drive to another one. I was using the same hdd so I am not sure how that will help me.

You can take backup of your drive once you have all the software you need and stuff on it. Then, once you format your HD, you can just put in the disk with your Ghost backup on and wooh, you will be all good again. No need to use different HDs This way you will not have to install all your software again part for part each time you format!
