I dunno why, but whenever I installed SP2 on my PC it usually died or started to act weird.

It's windows. Updated windows. That's normal.

Do it. Or use it on sexy coworker. And see what happens. Get in those presumably tight pants.

It's still downloading SP2. Not even installing yet.

You know, I would really pay for a damn OS that does it all, and is as stable as Linux.

Sadly "doing it all" basically requires microsoft's patents. So they're the only ones who can make systems that "do it all". Not counting emulators, but that's another story.

    So basically we're screwed.

Stability or functionality. That is the question.

Yeah, a friend of me said that too, I thought, oh well, maybe I got something else installed, but no, last reformat I tried to install SP2 before installing any drivers and yep, started acting weird.

    There's still time.

    Or not.

You could always nail her in the airport/bus station restroom.

You could do a lot worse.

    Build a time machine.

Or just steal the fastest plane you can find and fly around the earth in the opposite direction at full speed.

    It works.

I saw it in a movie once.

My install of Windows is stable, AVG antivirus seems to catch all the threats (I never find anything when I manually scan), I have Sygate Personal Firewall (free), and SP2 blocks nearly every popup and all ActiveX controls that can be malicious. I hardly ever find anything when I run Hijack-This!.

    Well said.

If my PC had more ram, I'd go with stability, and emulate what I need from Windows, into Linux. Meh.

So, you'd PAY for a stable OS, but not more RAM?
