Default New details on Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition

    http://gonintendo.com/?p=15565

Apparently, RE:UC is going to feature Jill, Chris, Rebecca, Claire, Billy, Wesker, and more. And according to the guy from 1up.com who commented a few times on the story, it's going to look far better than RE4 did on the Cube.

As far as RE4 Wii Edition, aside from having all the PS2 extras, it's going to have Wii Remote knife fighting, and possibly more bonus content than the PS2 version. This looks like it could be the definitive version of RE4.

I'm not interested in another FPS Resident Evil... but this news about a Wii version of RE4 is definitely tantalizing.

According to Paul Gale from 1up.com, RE:UC is not a first person game like the Survivor games. I guess we'll find out come April 12th, though, which is Capcom's Gamer's Day event.

EDIT: ZOMG. New scan. Looks AMAZINGLY cool.

    Wow.

    GASP!

    Damn.

That's all I really have to say. I'm totally fucking getting RE: UC. I'm just wondering why Capcom is milking RE4 so much. We already have it for GC, PS2, and PC. We don't really need a Wii version. I don't care if it has more bonus content or some cheap knife fighting. Enough with more versions!!

Keep in mind these are the same people who have released, how many versions of the origional RE? 8? 9? Anyway, doing the same to 4 isn't exactly hard to beleive.

    Also, RE4 had knives?
    Yeah, most useless knife ever.

I agree, Cube & PS2 versions of RE4 were all we needed. RE4 is not worthy of being ported to the Wii if they're not going to make use of the controller...
    The other RE looks aright.

Yeah, that's true. But from the old RE/PSX versions to now, there would be huge differences when remade. RE4 in general isn't that old. I see no valid reason to make another damn port of it for ANOTHER Nintendo console other than to use the stupid Wii-mote just to swing a damn knife.

The Famitsu magazine presents this week to us some images of Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles in a quality unfortunately quite poor. The occasion also to learn some more on this title indicated by the magazine like First Person View Gun Shooting and which will enable us to find a great part of the characters headlights of the series of which in particular Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Billy and Wesker. The history of the play will concentrate on the fall of Umbrella by giving us more details on the facts. In Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles, the player advances automatically on rails and shooting on the monsters which appear on the screen, in a style finally very arcade, but it will be however possible to choose his way and to change the sight with the stick. In more of these some details relating to Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles, the Famitsu magazine benefitted from the moment to confirm the exit on Wii de Resident Evil 4 in a version including/understanding some improvements compared to grinding PlayStation 2, and compatible with the Wii controller (to aim with Wiimote, etc).
