It's actually pretty strange. The DSL works fine until my wife turn the laptop on. I was using wireless for the laptop, and for probably the last week it would completely kill every connection (wired and wireless) whenever the laptop was turned on.

So, I took out the wireless card, and ran a CAT5 to the other room, and hard wired the laptop.


Same result. The DSL modem freaks out...all the lights flicker, and it kills every connection on the router.

Sounds like someone's wife has been posting dirty webcams of herself on myspace again.

And probably getting spyware.

Or not, and polo will suddenly appear with a "hit f12 and type oreos to fix it" type post.

any of your neighbors have wifi sprung? If so, look for one that has an unsecured network and just use that for your laptop. I was surprised to find out I could get wifi in my bedroom thanks to an unsecured network

And, right now, I have one connection: me. I turned off the wireless completely, so not even the Wii can access the WiConnect24 servers.
