Read the first 10, the middle 10, and the last few paragraphs. Thats what I do and it usually works well. I am supposed to read about 150 pages from my textbook a week in Philosophy, and thats what I do.

I could, however, not do that with this (won't bother to explain why), so I just read all the bold parts and wrote what I think that I know about those subject. Hopefully the study (yeah.. it's a study) will back up what I wrote, and if it doesn't on every point there's still a chance that my teacher won't notice. I have about 300 word-pages worth of online references and it's not like she'll read all of it.

When I do large projects I make sure that the teacher has no prior knowledge of the subject. That seems to help a lot of the time.

My brother is downloading patches for his games while he is home on spring break. I keep trying to explain to him that satellite internet isn't exactly the same as his college network. There is no telling how much longer I have before the internet comits suicide.

Me too, I try to learn what's useful from my faculty, other things are just meh, so far I only have paid attention to like 2 classes. The other ones are fillers. But next year I'll have to do that in every class.
