    Cyber: That. Just. Sucks.

I was expecting the game to look BETTER than the GCN version... Shuh!

BTW, I remember someone mentioning FRAPS, if you're still in the mood: http://www.fraps.com/download.php.

But yeah, even in screenshots, I can see how awfully plain that looks... I'll cancel my plans to get it. What a waste. Did you PAY for that!?

    ---

As for WHAT I'm playing right now... Zelda: Twilight Princess (GCN). It's one part Ocarina, one part Majora's. I love it!! =D Makes up for the so-so game that was Wind Waker, THAT'S for sure...

I was playing The Sims 2 (PS2) with my brother a couple days ago. I have no idea how it compares to the PC versions (though something tells me it's not as good), but even so, we were having fun! ^__^

Err... I haven't finished FFXII... Oops!

Silent Hill 2 (now that I've hax00red it to disable Vertex shading, thus making the flashlight work), and Valkrie Profile. MAN, I have no idea what to do in that game, but it looks so pretty! I just about pissed myself when I saw the Enix and Tri-Ace logos when I loaded it for the first time. Yay Star Ocean makers!
Banned, for BF1942: Don't bother learning to fly if you've only got a keyboard. Get a USB controller or a joystick, or just take a tank. Flying with the mouse and keyboard will put you into the ground or the ocean (or on one creative occasion for me, an ally's plane in midair ). It's IMPOSSIBLE. Also, click the "change view" button once when you get in the plane to remove the dashboard view. It just clutters things up and makes the ground harder to see for bombing.

As I was walking down the stair,
    I met a man who wasn't there.
    He wasn't there again today.
    I wish, I wish he'd go away.

At the moment, I'm divided between Perfect Dark, Goldeneye and Kingdom Hearts.

    Totally awesome.

Yeah, me too. I always imagined that with the right machine, the graphics would be better than the GC version. I mean, why not? The game looked plenty sexy on that console, and a PC can theoretically perform better if it's all beefed up and shit, so why is it that the game came out looking like a slightly higher resolution version of the PS2 game, just with worse graphics, and absolutely no shading or graphical effects whatsoever?

And why is it that it doesn't have an option to boost the graphical quality? I can increase the resolution, but that's about it. Don't most games these days feature that sort of thing standard? Like, nearly all of them? Is it that this seems to be nothing more than a port of the PS2 version that is to blame?
Whatever the case may be, my dreams of playing a better-looking-than-GC version of RE4 are dashed to smithereens on the rock that is named Ubi. Fuck you Ubi, or whoever you had develop the game. Fuck you in the eye. To death.

Oh, and yeah....I um..bought the game. I uh...spent alot of hard-earned Monopoly money on it. Yeah.

I'm playing FFIX, also. On the RE4 issue, this sounds like another case of DMC: 3, which even with the patch, looks like crap. Onimishu wasn't too bad, though.
Like something I've uploaded? Give me rep, then. Don't you just love begging?

I got to the Graveyard/Church area, and the lighting and fog effects that are so good on both the PS2 and GC, are non-existant in the PC version. It's lit just like any other area in the game. That was one of the most atmospheric areas in the other two versions, and here it's so bland.

The game is still fun, but it's lost alot of the atmosphere. The ambiance was a big part of RE4, and it's all but gone in the PC version. I might suggest this game to those who lack the means to play the other, better versions, but even then it's a hard-sell. It's just...so bland. They really dropped the ball. One can only hope that they release a patch or something that make the graphics suck less.

Well.. To break off your RE4 discussion, I am playing The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean on PSP and enjoying it a lot.

Something tells me that PC port was rushed to market well before work was concluded... Shame. *Pets "something" -- gives cracker*

Someone didn't want to pay any more dev time? Happens all the time, I guess... Even, I'm pretty sure we would've had these PS2 extras on the GCN version were it not for the same issue... Oh well...

I decided I'm too awesome to let F-Zero GX rot in my GCN drawer without even completing the story mode. Sucks getting those tickets -- I don't even have the time!

Oh? I've played the three Gagharv games on the PC, actually, and I liked them quite a bit. How are the PSP remakes? Kinda wanted to give them a go...

I just finished Thunderforce V for the first time, though I've had it for a long time now. Nice-ish. ^^; Not as good as III or IV, but still a fun shooter. I really wish they had stuck with 2-D, though, as the primitive 3-D graphics are abhorrently ugly by today's standards, having aged very badly indeed. And it could have looked so pretty with the Saturn's 2-D capabilities too... =(

And yet it requires a DX9 Shader2.0 video card, according to it's minimum requirements, so I can't even play it on the PC. Not like I should be surprised. I've got another PC Port of a Capcom game, Dino Crisis 2, and it doesn't even have a quit game function. You have to ctrl-alt-del to quit the game.

    No Alt+F4?

Anyway... My brother was nagging me, so I rented "The Warriors" -- we were playing co-op yesterday... He got curious and now wants to see the movie. Now I have to search online for him...

The game is awesome, especially co-op. I never got to be warcheif though.

The movie.. wow, just wow. Ajax is fucking ugly.

I don't know you, you're not my friend.

    I'm full of good ideas..

    The Baseball thugs were awesome.

On topic, I'm playing Silent Hill 1, I'm trying to shake SH2 from my mind before I play it again.
