I don't consider Zelda an RPG. It's an adventure game. You don't deal with hit points, 'suddenly appearing behind some trees' enemies, and if you miss, it's your own damn fault.

Well, you do deal with hit points, just not traditonal hit points with a bar graph and numbers.

But I'll rephrase. I prefer third and first person adventure games.

Not generally. You do have a health meter (hearts) in Zelda, but the only enemies which really display their 'condition' during battle are the bosses. Every general enemy you encounter is usually defeated with a swing of the sword.

    Yeah, I'll drop it I hate RPG's.

Wizard: Look my friend we have encountered an armored knight!

Knight: What is an armor knight doing in a forest?

Wizard: That is unimportant! Now attack him!

    Knight: My attack seems ineffective!

Wziard: I guess we should run away

    Knight: Okay then

You try to run away but fail

Wizard: Oh dear it looks like he's faster then us.

Knight: HOW!? I MEAN LOOK AT ALL THAT ARMOR!?

    Wziard: Oh no he's attacking!

    GAME OVER

    Yeah turn based battles suck.

Yeah Zelda is more of an adventure game since your not dealing with statistics and there isn't really much of a story.

    Not much of a story!?

They are the most compelling games I have played.

By compelling, I mean I just don't 'wanna finish' the game. I HAVE to know how it ends.
