Yeah, I noticed that the French version of Grandia kept the hideous English voices along with the French script. x_X Seems kinda pointless, really; if you're going to have voices in a non-native language anyway, you'd be as well just leaving them in Japanese.

    Saturn:
    Shining the Holy Ark
Shining Force III Scenarios 1 & 3 (couldn't find 2 for an acceptable price)

    Playstation:
    Gensosuikoden II
    Xenogears

    Sigma Star Saga
    Astonishia Story

Found both for some small cash downtown. I've played and beaten Sigma Star Saga before and I liked it. So I figured that I might as well get it. And Astonishia Story looks interesting even though I heard it's pretty generic. But it was cheap!

Sigma Star Saga was by the same developer as Shantae, wasn't it? I wanted to give that a go, but somehow never got around to it.

Yup. You should try it sometime. It was really fun. It doesn't feel as high quality as Shantae perhaps but it certainly is fun.

    I want Shantae advance.

I'll maybe give it a download. I hadn't even heard of Shantae until recently, but I downloaded it on a whim because it looked similar to Monster World IV, and I thought it was really fun. I like that sort of sidescrolling action game with minor RPG elements a lot. ^^

What happened to Shantae Advance, though? =( Postponed indefinitely?

It's a high quality GBC platformer, that's for sure.

I have no idea actually. I'm not sure if they ever got their hands on a publisher. :\

There's a Shantae Advance in the works?

Wow - I always wanted to play Shantae -- then I completely forgot.

Eddy: Got Shining Force III Scenario 1 myself some time ago - and I don't speak a lick of japanese... XD Well, it's just as rudimentary as it's ever been, y'know what I mean...

I'll beat chu to Scenario 2, I will!

It's pretty playable even without Japanese knowledge. No luck with resuming classes, though? =( That's a shame...

And no, no you shall not. Medion's golden locks shall be mine and mine alone.

    ...

Somehow that sounded marginally less gay in my head.

Well, I don't think it will ever be released. Screenshots were shown long before Sigma Star Saga was released. Too bad. ;O

Oh, please! EVERYONE'S gay for Medion

Big feet -- y'know what that means, right?

So anyway, yes I will! Though I'm not sure I'm willing to pay upwards of $50 for another saturn game... I mean, those extra monsters and areas on SOTN weren't really worth it...

This is true. His bare-chested second promotion is the best.

Actually, to be honest I like Julian better. =P Heresy? =o

I've still not played the Saturn Symphony of the Night. But surely it isn't half as good without 'What is a man? A miserable pile of secrets!'? $50 isn't so bad, though. New PS2 games cost like $80 here. XD British prices are utterly craptacular. x_X

I ended up almost buying a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga on ebay for 65 pounds the other day. XD I was actually kind of glad when it got sniped from me. I got carried away bidding, and it dawned on me that I wasn't willing to pay that kind of money for a game that I've already beaten, even if it is as sexily awesome as PDS. I'm banking upon finding it one of these days in a second hand shop for a single digit price. It's going to happen sooner or later.
