Default Mode 1 to Mode 2

Can I convert an iso that is in the Mode 1 to an iso in the Mode 2?

Why would you want to do that?

Because some games that I have (downloaded from emuparadise), like Gegege no Kitarou (psx), are in the mode 1 (Don't ask me why).

It will still burn and play and play with an emu, so why do you want to convert it?

If I want to play in my console a cd recorded in the mode 1, my psx will not read the cd.

Then there's something wrong with either your console, your CD burner, your CD burning app, or the CD's you're using.

Or you could also be mistaken.

Something wrong? Are you sure? All of my life I've been thinking that the mode 1 cds doesn't play in the psx consoles. Otherwise, 99% of the isos that I have would not be in the mode 2.

    It makes no difference.

Or with how you're burning it, or with the CD's you're using.
It's also possible that the copy of the game that's been ripped to Mode 1 is damaged, and that's why it doesn't work.

It's true. For play in the real PSX console, should be mode 2.
Some programs can change the mode when you burn the CD, try with NERO.

Why do you say it's true? I have burned over 100 psx games that are mode 1 and everyone of them works perfectly on both of my psx consoles, moded & not moded (swap trick)

    @ Clint Picard
At what speed are you trying to burn the images, if you burn them to fast you will have problem playing them in your console. It is recommended that you burn them at the lowest possible speed.

    Burning mode1 in mode2 = corrupt

The only time you should ever set the mode manually when burning is if there is no descriptor file there to say what mode it should be burned it
