i'ld do it my self if i had any clue how to make an emulator for the gba
let alone, if i had any coding skills what-so-ever. don't really know much about programming and emulators.
other than how to use the emus. (epsxe rocks)
How fast is the GBA's processor again...

Not for the GBA, but i believe there was a project to port Bochs to the DS. Anyone know if its still being developed?Originally Posted by Xcliber
It's an ARM processor, so i guess it could be alright. Hell, you can play King's Quest on your GBA.Originally Posted by woodman

Ok i guess that's not such a great example.![]()
I think I remember hearing of a crude x86 emulator for PSP. It was used to boot up Windows 95 on the PSP.
Wasn't it Bochs?
it shouldnt be too hard to at least emulate an old IBM pc it had an 8bit 8088 running at something like 4.5 or 5 mhz it would probably run dos slow as hell though
The closest at the mo is the (old computer) Sharp X1 emu (runs badly) for the GBA
There may be a MSX emu though, I know Flubba has done some CPU and GFX work on MSX1 emulation on the GBA (Nothing released as of yethe does far too much)
King's Quest is not ran through emulation at all, it's Ported/Interpreted and thats something different (emultion is all about hardware, Interpretation is all about reading software files running them on different harware/OS and does not need to emulate hardware (most the time there is the odd time the 2 get mixed together))
There are a few text advanture Interpreters aswell

Hence the GBAGI name.![]()
So the fact you can play kings quest on a GBA does not indicate x86 emulation in the slightest, so your example wasn't just not great it had no relevance at all, you might aswell of said well there is a GBA game that runs perfectly on a GBA
