It is still possible that it does have errors of some sort that CDMage doesn't detect (CDMage can also detect errors when a CD Image is 100% perfect) but presuming everything in the image is fine though, then emu probs are just config errors (FPS can still effect the game in bad ways)

... I would guess that it is fine

All the CD's both PAL and NTSC should report no errors in CDMage if perfect

The errors on CD2 may just be a result of the NTSC/PAL hack or may not

About that CD2 errors. I earlier downloaded that .iso version of disk 2. Converted into .cue and .bin with ISObuster. Checked errors with CDmage and there was NO errors, zero. Maybe try making image one more time, converting from that .iso version or form your orginal (?) CD2 of FF8.

Could just create the CD Images with ISObuster to start with Binary *.bin images are beter anyway because they can hold CDDA tracks that some PSX games use (providing you keep the cue sheet aswell)

ISObuster is completly free for that use.

Converting to a different format will get rid of errors very seldomly. Usually if the errors are in the empty/unused sectors they will disappear in the conversion. Actual data errors on the other hand always stay, after all, ISOBuster or Alcohol are just reading and rewriting what is on the disc image.
